Project 7/8_Bryana Canal

First Artwork
For the first image I did I decided to a blackhole/wormhole type concept with other little details added on.
I first started off with a mountain range and then added a picture of a wolf as one of the mountains.
I then added a picture of a blackhole and blended a layer that had a picture of wolf eyes on in to add a mystic element to the piece.
I then added a planet image to show that the environment of the image is space. The last element I added was some books and I did a splatter brush over them to make them look magical. I added this last part to make it seem like more of a wormhole that was causing multiple things to show up in space.

Second Artwork
For the concept of this second piece I based it off of a character from one of my favorite anime. This specific character has a cat-like face so I thought to do a work of what it would look like if this character had an actual cat face and then make it look like something out of a fever dream.
This image is both the reference for the piece and also some elements from this image I added to the work.
I first started off with an image of a hairless cat. I then used the magnetic lasso tool to cut out the head.
I then went onto a 3D model posing site to create the body for the character.
I took a screenshot of the model and then cut it out on photoshop.
I then added the head to the body and did a color overlay onto the body to blend it in with the head.
I then added the clothing of the character onto the piece from the reference image.
For the last element of my piece I added a gradient overlay effect and then I added an outer glow to the layer. To give it the warpy look I used the smudge tool and dragged it around the piece at different angles.

An extra bit that had added to the piece but then decided not to use was a text layer that had the localized name of the character.
