Week 2- Hannah Torreira

The artist of my choosing is Hunter August Handcock also known as MeatCanyon. He is known online for creating horrifying yet fantastical re-imagined parodies of characters everyone know and love, such as Bugs bunny, Pinocchio, and even Thomas the train. He creates animations that act as short films. He regularly shows his audience the processes he goes through to recreate the characters in a recognizable way while maintaining his own twist. This artist inspires me by showing me that even if your work is not traditional in a sense it could be massively appreciated. Making an already existing character your own is a technique I would like to try. The art he creates honestly resonates with, I like horror art and the shock value it receives.
