The artist that I was drawn to the most was Luis Castelo, a scanography artist who bases his work in the animal and vegetal kingdom. He began his work in the year of 1998, 3 years after he finished his doctorate in Photography. Though even while his works of art are captivating and makes these living things feel like they are stopped in time, it was his explanations, reasoning, and motivation that really drew me to him. Looking through pictures of birds to reptiles to insects to various fauna while having the opportunity to read further into this kind of artwork has really opened my mind.
