Week2_Research(teamLab)_NekedaW

An artist or rather a group, that I found that specializes in using technology in their artwork is a Japanese art and tech studio known as teamLab. They use technology to create some of the best technology-driven installations that transform public spaces into interactive playgrounds. teamLab is actually an international collective group of various specialists such as artists, programmers, engineers, CG animators, mathematicians, and architects. Each of these people works together to create collaborative pieces that seek to navigate the confluence of art, science, technology, and the natural world. I really like how the artworks continue to stick to the theme of the relationship between the self, the world, and the continuity of time. "Everything exists in a long, fragile yet miraculous, borderless continuity of life"-teamLab.

You can find some of their work in the permanent collection of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles; Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney; Art Gallery of South Australia, Adelaide; Asian Art Museum, San Francisco; Asia Society Museum, New York; Borusan Contemporary Art Collection, Istanbul; National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne; and Amos Rex, Helsinki.
