     Jaime Ruas is a scanographer who specializes in the use of painting, printing, and stamping for his pieces of scanography. He has a degree in fine arts, and he works as a graphic designer in Madrid. He makes disturbing yet beautiful pieces by providing an overwhelmingly dark theme throughout the majority of his work. He will also burn the paper for an extremely interesting effect.  He is also known to use materials such as wax, acrylic, oil paint, gulches, pens, textiles, and even food. Personally, I really enjoy his use of text because of the uneasy feeling it gives me. I think it is especially neat considering I do not know what it says since it is in Spanish.
