Project 4 Aly Corrigan

"That's a big sweater"

This first picture is a character I drew a while ago and I decided to digitalize her. I first made the original picture to a 20% opacity level and began making several layers for line art, skin tone, blush, the sweater, sweatpants, crocs, hair, highlights, shadows and stuff like that. I would color in the skin and hair and what not where it would be and then slowly added more details painting and erasing and using the magnetic lasso tool. And then for the final background I just combine all the layers that make up the girl and made a copy of the whole image using a stained pane filter and then put a black rectangle at 15& Opacity then deleted several shapes on it to create this glowing look.

"Simpsons Portal"

This picture was created using several different things. Firstly I cut out the girl using a magnetic lasso tool and began putting filters over the previous image in real life. The I simply cut out the bottom of the skate and and replaced it with a bright and colorful image of Springfield where the Simpsons live. After that I used several painting layers to create the simps version of the skater girl. After that I used more paint tools to recreate the portal colors used in an earlier episode of the Simpsons to make it look like she's changing.

"Street Art, Man"

This image was used in a similar way from all of these in which I would lower the opacity of the original picture and then use layer of different paints to recreate the previous image as an art form. From there I changed the shades and brightness and blue and used filters to create the background of the wall and from there kept drawing and blending until it looked like spray paint street art.
