Theme: Georgia Southern Game Day (one picture from each year that I have been here)
For these photoshop pictures the steps I used are as follows:
I used the magnetic lasso tool to outline certain parts of the picture. For example, I would outline my skirt with the magnetic lasso tool, then click brush tool, then use the color finder to get the exact color that my skirt was in the original picture and fill it in with the brush tool. I had to do this for every article of clothing, every leg, arm, face, hair, hat, shoes, etc. Once every part of the people were filled in through doing that method, I would go back with the regular brush tool and fill in missing spots. The magnetic lasso was hard to use, it wouldn't always follow the trail I was trying to get it to. In order to get the same color I would use the color finder again and change the brush size depending on the area I was fixing. Next, I used the erase background tool to take away the background of the original picture. I had to change the size of the eraser tool many times and would accidentally erase over the people, resulting in me having to fill them in again with the brush tool. For the first and third backgrounds, I did not erase completely because I wanted the viewer to see the outline of what was there originally. For the second one I tried to erase the background completely so the viewer couldnt tell what had previously been there. I found Georgia Southern logo pictures I liked for the background on the internet. I screenshotted and cropped these to fit the 8 x 11 size. I then uploaded the background logo picture into the adobe app and dragged it into the tab with the original picture I was working on. I had to enlarge the background picture greatly and sometimes minimize the size of the people. Once I had the background set, my final step was playing around with the background opacity. For two and three had the opacity down, for the first one it was at 100%. I lessened it on the second two so that the vibrant colors of the main people would have more emphasis. On the third one I left the wood behind us and the grass slightly visible to add character. For the first one I left the bricks semi visible as well because I really liked how it looked with the GATA background on it. It gives it a whole extra layer of depth.
