Project 5 and 6_ Bryana Canal

Project 5
For this first screen shot I have the raw photo I took with my phone camera.

I then went in and messed the color settings to give the image some vibrancy.
The last thing I did was that I played with the exposure and contrast and the whites and blacks settings. I used the Lightroom Classic program to edit the photo.
I then went into Photoshop and blended a layer of an image taken from my scanography project. I used a morphed photo to make it look like something was in the water. I never really worked with photography as a medium so I wasn't sure what else to add.

Final Image:

Project 6
These two images I used for the final piece. One is just a picture I took with my phone and the other is something I drew digitally to cut out and paste down.

This is an image of some of the process I had while making this piece. I put tape on the vine cut outs to give them a 3D texture.
Description:

Inspiration, Bryana Canal

Process: I really wanted to have both the old and new ways I used to draw within the piece. I first took a picture of the computer in front of me with a google search of comic book characters on the screen to show that the character I drew is coming from them like an inspiration. After I cut out and pasted the picture of the computer onto a sheet of paper I did a pencil drawing of my character and pasted that on top of the picture of the computer. I then digitally drew both a background of vines and singular vines to paste onto the paper. After I put the single vines onto the paper and put tape on them to give them some 3D texture and I painted the tape to look like vines.

Idea: The idea I had for the theme of this project was inspiration. For the main focal point of the piece I have one of my own original characters coming out of a screen that has images of comic book characters. As a kid I really liked comics so a lot of the characters I draw are inspired from them. The character that I drew for this piece is one of my most recent to show kind of how far the inspiration has taken me.
