Ansley Foil project 5 &6
Ansley Foil project 5&6
Process: For this project I took a photo of a flower in a mossy pond behind the art building. I then uploaded the picture into photoshop and erased the background. I uploaded a picture of pretty blue water in place of the gross moss water. I enhanced the colors a bit and printed out four copies. Then I got magazines and cut out the colors that matched the original colors of the flower (the first one) . I cut them roughly into shapes of each petal, made multiple pieces fit into the petal shape and glued it down. I used this same process for the next three but I made the other three have specific color schemes: orange to yellow, purple, and light to dark blue. I cut out different shades of green for the lilly pads. I purposely made some of them the same color so they could line up and connect. I then glued all four papers together and rounded the corners.
Idea: I guess my idea was that I was taking a beautiful thing and matching it with a setting that does it justice. Then as I further progressed in my project I realized no matter what the color is or whether the shades matched up exactly or not they were all really beautiful. None of them are the exact same shape, size or color wise but they're all pretty. This led me to the theme of beauty through differences. Even next to three other flowers they each shine in their own way.
Below is my progress work listen as follows:
