 For this project I started by taking pictures of artwork in the gallery. I then selected one work that I really enjoyed looking at. For this piece I used the perspective crop tool in photoshop to crop the artwork and straighten to frame. After doing this, I printed the artwork in color. I continued to use an X-Acto knife to cut out the circular shapes, and the surrounding white of the blue outline. Lastly I used the scanner to capture this image. While working with the scanner, I figured out how to change it from color to black and white. for the next part of this project, I conducted research on how to make a paper lotus flower. I strategically chose the colored paper and began cutting and folding each part. I finally assembled the pieces and molded each petal to get the perfect look of the bloomed lotus. I took pictures of bushes outside, cropped and edited them to create full green leaves.
