Project 5&6 Aly Corrigan
Process: My process began as I decided to use the picture I took around the building and build some life into it with drawing. My first image was composed of a tree taken from a downwards angle that I filtered put into a more graphic poster type style. Then I took several different hands I found holding a polaroid online and inside each polaroid I put a picture I took on my own inside. I edited each one to be a unique color and gave each photo it's own filter to make it appear as if it was a drawn actual polaroid. From there it continued into a lovely picture and I moved onto the next one. My next one wit the three girls I drew all on my own. The background was the colorful stairway to downstairs and on top of those I drew one girl, each part of her bod, hair, skin was a different texture. I wanted to give it a feeling of some kind of trippy style, and from there I made each a primary color and printed them out and cut. For the final product I simply used about three to four magazines that I skimmed through getting each color I needed. I cut out each item and drew over some of them going it a touch of my own and from that I made the collage.
Idea: I really hadn't even tough about the idea being my pieces, I just kind of went with how I was feeling that day. My hands photo one I felt very at ease and contempt so I knew I wanted to make something cute and simple while giving it my own edge. And for the girls one, I felt very stressed and chaotic so I new that this one would have lots of layers, textures, lot of different things maybe where they shouldn't be so it could like crazy. My theme is primary colors as you can see and that's basically the list of that.
