I started with a simple image of the computer, then I lasso tool cut out my cat and added him all over.

I smudged the colors on the screen to add to the concept which was my cat floods into every aspect of my life. He is everywhere and he is always near me. I wanted to captivate this, by merging what I do in this class as an example of what I mean.

First I started off with a picture of the colorful hallway. I knew I wanted to find a way to create an ethereal fantasy land.

I started off with opening the sky. I wasn't sure why exactly, but I knew I wanted to add the elements of nature into the indoors. 

I continued with my idea of bringing the outside inside, and added more and more nature into the image and even a leaf guy. His name is jimmy. I imported scans of flowers and pieces of tree into my collage and added them along the hallway.

Process: First I started off with a picture of a colorful hallway. Before I found my picture I was looking for a colorful area around the building to photograph. Once I found my spot, the first thing I did was open the sky up with Photoshop. I used the lasso tool to pick up and move the ceiling over. I wanted to bring the outside inside for my concept. I added more and more nature into the image and even a leaf guy, he is called Jimmy. I did this by masking the images I scanned of flowers and pieces of tree and I scattered them along the hallway. I had a few issues with the plants and combining and blending them with their new setting, but I just tried my best to incorporate that into the theme by blending, smudging, and adding more leaves. I used the clone stamping tool to add more single leafs and flower petals. Lastly, I printed my edited creation and added pieces of the hallway’s walls, floor, and ceiling around the initial image like a frame and displayed more of the flowers I photographed. In the end we are left with an image that gives the viewer the idea that they are looking into a plant filled hall to a green person walking away from us.

Idea: I knew from the beginning I wanted to find a way to create an ethereal fantasy land. So I choose a colorful place to take a picture that would be interesting to edit. I wasn't sure why exactly, but I knew I wanted to add the elements of nature into the indoors. I tried my best to blend and mix my ideas together, but it didn't turn out the way I initially wanted. I did learn a lot about how to work this program and how not everything goes as planned. Especially if you have no plan. It may not be the best creation ever but I did my best to make something I wasn't too angry about.
