Ansley Foil 7&8
For my first picture I sent a bunch of pictures from this fall semester to myself through email and dragged and dropped them into a photoshop file, I believe I ended up with 51 pictures. For each picture I had to use free transform to change the size and location of. I did A LOT of changing the sizes and placement of the pictures, trying to spread out colors, people, events, and events so it looked evenly distributed. For each picture I brought the opacity down to 67%. Once I finally had all of that set, I added the Georgia southern logo. I used the free transform tool to change the size and location of this too. I played around with the transparency and layering with this for a while. I ended up keeping it 100% opacity, but layered it behind all the photos so it has a transparent look. I added the GSU logo to this because all these memory were made at Georgia Southern or with friends made through Georgia Southern. It also tied into the prompt of dream too because 8 years ago, being in the middle of high school, I could have never dreamed I would end up here and surrounded by people that make me so happy. I added the caption to the bottom with the text tool to label it.
For the second picture I was inspired by me and my best friend's birthdays because it happened recently. Our birthdays are only 6 days apart so we celebrate them together every year. I uploaded pictures in to the photoshop document and placed around with placement and sizing (via the free transform tool). Then I got the text box and typed in the number that we turned the year that picture was taken. It took a lot of resizing of both the number font and size as well as the photo size. I ended up using 200 pt font, but the numbers were to far apart so each number had its own text box, this allowed me to overlap the numbers and get both the faces in. I would then lower the numbers opacity to 80%. Then I would get the brush tool and paint the picture white everywhere, except for where the numbers were. After I finished this I deleted the number layers so it was just the picture in the shape of the number. I did this for all four pictures. After that I played around again with the sizes and free transformation tool to get it positioned where I wanted. I then played around with the brush tool, changing colors and brush styles and sizes. I used the big paint splatter brush for the pink/purple colored splatters. I used the small paint splatter brush for the teal blue color. I then added pink fuzzy paint brush tool to add little areas of pink . The reason I choose these colors is because it resembles the colors of our favorite ice cream that we eat every time we celebrate out birthdays. The flavor is "cotton candy explosion" so I thought it was meaningful to have the background be based off another birthday memory to go along with the theme. I then added in text to write the caption. I wanted the text to create a flowing line around the pictures so I used different arches and text styling to give it that form.
